Varadero tour- Swaying palm trees in the sand

Lazy days in Varadero

Varadero is the most popular beach destination in Cuba. It's conveniently located -only a 2-hour drive away from Havana and its long white sandy beaches are known as the best beaches in the Caribbean. Thousands of tourists do a Varadero tour each year. Although you won't see the unspoiled, authentic side of Cuba here, you can expect a very relaxing, comfortable beach holiday in Varadero.

There are many modern all-inclusive resorts scattered along the Varadero coast. They tend to be pretty spacious, surrounded by lush tropical gardens with beautiful turquoise swimming pools. The resorts have all the facilities you could ask for, a variety of restaurants and different types of entertainment. Most resort employees speak English and you really won't need to leave the resort while you're here. We'll arrange accommodation at an informal resort with a wide variety of comfortable hotel facilities. If you would prefer to stay at a smaller, more intimate hotel, you could do a unique Cuba trip to the castaway island of Cayo las Brujas, or travel to Maria la Gorda to experience diving in Cuba

Day 1: Arrival in Varadero

Today you'll travel to Varadero from either Trinidad, Santa Clara or Camaguey (if you're coming from the east). Main Street, with its souvenir shops and restaurants, will take you straight to the end of the peninsula. There are a variety of modern all-inclusive resorts on the peninsula. You'll stay at a colourful resort with an easygoing, friendly atmosphere. The resort boasts a wide range of facilities - several swimming pools, jacuzzis, restaurants, tennis courts, a water sports centre, a gym, a sauna and a massage parlour. The sea is only a short stroll away through the palm tree gardens. In other words, this resort has everything you could possible need to relax and unwind during your Varadero tour.

The resort's standard rooms are spread out among several low-rise buildings and each of them has air conditioning, a mini bar and a terrace or balcony. We'll make arrangements for you to stay in one of these standard rooms on your Vardero tour. If you would like to stay in a different type of room, these are available upon request, just ask your Cuba travel specialist.

Day 2 - 3: Varadero Beach Cuba tour

Today is a free day for you to spend as you wish; you can do as little or as much as you like. Stroll through the palm tree garden straight into the azure-blue sea or head into Varadero to buy clothes or handicrafts at the souvenir market. The resort is only a 10 minute (10 CUC) taxi ride from town or you could hire a bicycle.

Would you prefer a little more action and adventure during this Varadero  tour? If so, there are plenty of excursions that start out in Varadero. For instance, you could go on a bus/ boat tour to Rio Canimar (9:00 - 16:00, approximately 45 CUC). A farm house lunch is generally included in the price of the excursion. Another option would be to go on a jeep safari through the countryside (9:00 - 18:00, approximately 60 CUC). During the jeep safari you'll visit a finca (farm), you'll go on a boat ride and you'll explore caves. You can also choose to go swimming with the dolphins (30 minutes for about 85 CUC per person). These excursions can easily be booked at the location.

Day 4: End of the Varadero tour

After breakfast you'll leave the immaculate white beaches behind as your Vardero tour comes to an end. Since most travellers end their Cuba holiday in Havana, this module includes a transfer from your hotel to the airport in Havana.
