About Cuba Travel Plan
Cuba Travel Plan is a small specialist internet based tour operator, offering you a unique way of travelling around Cuba. Our Cuba travel specialists will help you build your own trip, handing you complete control of your holiday. Cuba Travel Plan is part of Rickshaw Travel, an online adventure tour operator made by travellers for travellers. Our trips are created for individual travellers. Instead of going on a whirlwind tour of Cuba in a large tourist-filled coach, you'll travel independently by bus, private car, plane, and sometimes minibus. We like to give back to the communities we offer travel to, that's why we sponsor local charity projects. See our responsible travel page for more information. We're able to keep our prices low because we don't produce flashy brochures or run luxury shops. However you're more than welcome to visit our Cuba travel specialists during your travel planning! We are based in Brighton, on the South Coast and we're the sister company of round the world specialists, Travel Nation. |
Suzanne AldertonCuba travel specialistMy passion for salsa, guitar, the Spanish language and of course rum has certainly drawn me to Cuba. No other country has captured my curiosity as much as Cuba. It is one of the few places where the country's relics have kept their authenticity and when you arrive you really do feel as though you are taking a step back in time.I have travelled extensively thoughout Peru, Bolivia and the Galapagos and I am very much looking forward to my trip to Cuba early next year. I am especially keen to visit Trinidad and Havana, where I intend to take my guitar and, in typical Cuban fashion, join in with the locals' musical serenades! |

Ceri JonesCuba travel specialistI spent Xmas and New Year 2006/7 in Cuba swimming in the clearest, bluest sea I’ve ever seen, seduced by the mix of Hispanic and afro Caribbean culture. I returned last year whilst working as a Tour leader in Central America.Cuba is an enigma, unlike anywhere else I have ever been and somewhere you just have to experience yourself to believe. The fascinating history and current situation meant that I went with so many questions but left even more curious. I love all things Cubano; music on every corner, dancing in the street,1950’s American cars, powder white sand, cigars and rum, friendly smiling locals wanting to chat and salsa (whether you can or not is irrelevant), not to mention the mojitos and of course, Che Guevara. The streets of Havana are a living museum and whilst travelling the island I needed my camera in my hand the whole time. Way out east and isolated, Baracoa is my favourite place. |
Haydn WrathManagerCuba Travel Plan is run by Haydn Wrath.I left the University of East Anglia in 1984 and escaped what seemed a very grim England by spending the rest of the 80's travelling independently and working myself round the world. During this time I put in some usual stints as an English teacher in Tokyo, a landscape gardener in Sydney and a tarmac layer's assistant in Alaska. In 1990, I joined Bridge the World Travel Centre in London as manager of the World-wide department, where I was able to put my degree in Politics and Philosophy to good use. I fulfilled my ambition to set up a specialist travel company in 2001 when I founded Travel Nation, and later in 2007 set up Rickshaw Travel and Cuba Travel Plan. |
